Barnes & Noble's Massive Labor Day Sale Kicks Off With Deals on Books and LEGO Sets

What Books Are Included in the Sale?

The main landing page for the Book Haul sale breaks down the discounts into quite a few different categories, so I'll do my best to highlight each section of books and what's included within below:

• 50% Off Fiction - This is the broadest category of discounts with options from popular authors like Brandon Sanderson and Stephen King.
• 50% Off Non-Fiction - Most of the discounts here are for biographies, including Jeremy Renner's My Next Breath and Al Pacino's Sonny Boy. You'll also find quite a few cookbooks included here.
• 50% Off New Releases - A ton of new releases in every genre are discounted, with children's books receiving the biggest discounts. There are some notable exclusions from this list, including the most popular new books of 2025 like Sunrise on the Reaping and Onyx Storm.
• 50% Off B&N Exclusives - Popular collector's editions you'll only find at Barnes & Noble are included here. The list includes the latest book in the Percy Jackson series, Alex Hirch's The Book of Bill, and many more.
• 50% Off Kids' Books - The kids' section of this sale includes a mix of novels and board books. Some of the more popular options include Ms. Rachel, Grumpy Monkey, Bluey, and even some I Spy books.
• Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off Collectible Editions - Includes special editions of popular franchises like the Dune Books, Jurassic Park, and the Sherlock Holmes series. Many of these collectible editions are also B&N exclusives you won't find anywhere else.

What LEGO Sets Are Included in the Sale?

The LEGO selection of the Book Haul sale isn't nearly as vast as the book selection, but there are some sets included here that are cheaper than anywhere else. The most notable discount is on the Chinese Festivals Trotting Lantern set, which is at its lowest-ever price. The deal on the Bouquet of Roses set is actually quite good as well if you're looking for something from the LEGO Botanical line. Outside of those two highlights, there are various LEGO Harry Potter sets worth checking out here, as well as some Nintendo sets that are set to be retired soon.
